Since 2007 the Faculty of Mechanical Engineering has been actively involved in the process of publishing Acta Mechanica et Automatica. The journal presents theoretical as well as experimental works within the scope of mechanics, automatic control engineering and robotics. Additionally, the journal includes works and findings focusing on the practical application of the aforementioned disciplines in the design and operation of machinery equipment. Moreover, Acta Mechanica et Automatica cooperates with scientists specializing in various scientific research including biocybernetics, biomedical engineering and IT systems. The academic council guarantees the highest technical level of published articles, which undergo strict review procedures.

Acta Mechanica et Automatica is indexed in the SCOPUS Database, Index Copernicus Journal Master List Database as well as in the Polish Technical Journal Contents, BazTECH. The Journal has the impact factor of 7 points according to the classification of the Ministry of Science and Higher Education. Since 2013 Acta Mechanica et Automatica has been published by De Gruyter Open.
